Building D Update

The Retreat building ‘D’ is coming along nicely. Not as fast as we would like but we are making some good progress. It has been a difficult couple of months. It appears that the whole world is building at the same time in central Florida. Materials, tradesman equipment are all at a premium. That said we now have a pretty good timeline for the future.

The building is up roof dried in and all the interior walls are installed.

Next week the plumbers, HVAC installers will be on site to commence their work.

The following week the Electricians will commence.

Building is Complete

This week I had to research some landscaping details. On searching the emails it was 2018 I found the detail we needed. I just can’t believe how much time the Retreat has taken up. I suppose with covid it was understandable. Well the good news is the building is complete. We are now entering the inspection phase. A few weeks ago we passed the water, sewage and draining inspection that allowed us to lay the parking.

It's nearly a year since Covid effected all of us. The great news is that after a traumatic 12 months we appear to be getting back to some resemblance of normality.  Further good news is after meeting with Duke
Energy we have a commencement date of March 22rd. The work should take about 14 days and hopefully the property will be energized just after Easter.

Everything else is going good and gearing up to get everything scheduled and completed. All the tests and reports on the civil has been completed . Just need Polk County to approve the Paving. Which we expect shortly. All the kitchens are in. All the trim items lights, Fans are also in.

Happy New Year:

Happy New Year to everyone. It would appear that the holidays has taken its toll on the scheduling.  The biggest and most stupid is trying to get permission to take down some light poles that are situated in the middle of access road to the car park. This has had a knock on effect with other trades. This has had the effect of putting a 2 to 3 week delay in completion.
